Interactive Periscope

Robo-camera interactive controller

Interactive Periscope is a compelling experience that provides visitors with a high-definition pan-tilt-zoom digital network camera that can be interactively controlled via the Periscope interface. Viewers can interact with remote locations in real time. The video feed can be live or recorded.

Currently it is available in two versions. The first is a standard naval type periscope that acts much like a standard periscope but uses a camera, monitor and an encoder to take of the place of optics found in a periscope. This is perfect for an application where an actual roof opening is not possible, or if the desired area to be viewed is not in close proximity to the periscope. The second version uses Augmented Reality. We can over lay life like images of ships, or other objects on the viewed area. Imagine using a periscope to get a 360-degree view of an underwater kelp forest...or a monkey colony...or the surface of a lake or bay.
