Matt Browning
designs and develops the integration of electronics, hardware, software,
and databases for interactive installations, software and web
applications. He has worked extensively in the advertising, marketing,
education, and corporate industries.
Matt graduated
from Carnegie Mellon University in 1997 with a B.F.A. in Electronic
Media with concentration in computer science. He was awarded the Samuel
Rosenberg award for his interactive installation and performance
exhibitions. After college, Matt worked as an interactive developer on
the Microsoft Encarta team in Redmond, WA. At Microsoft, he animated
and programmed interactive content for the Encarta Encyclopedia, among
other Microsoft products, and created interface prototypes for usability
testing. He was twice named in Communication Arts Magazine’s Interactive
Design Annual winners (1999) for his work on these Microsoft projects.
More recently, Matt has owned and operated a consulting and development
business, partnering with design agencies and museum and tradeshow
fabricators to expand their development services.
