Design and Fabrication
Peter Regla designs coordinated servo controllers and electro-mechanical
assemblies. With over 19 years of achievement, Pete has earned
recognition in pneumatic, electronic, and mechanical design and
fabrication of interactive exhibit systems and animatronics. He has
contributed his talents to the aerospace, motion picture, and defense
industries.
Peter has designed high accuracy motion tracking camera systems used by
the Defense Mapping Administration and is well versed in
animation/animatronics using PLCs and PC control. His practical
experience includes friction drive technology, precision servo systems,
motion picture visual effects design, and integrated robotic systems.
In
addition, Peter is an accomplished editor and author of books and
articles focused on special effects and robotics. He has earned national
recognition by receiving Technical Achievement awards from the Academy
of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences
